Hi! I'm Kailee, a wife, mother of two, and a passionate, professionally trained doula. After my daughter was born 8 years ago, I walked away thinking surely birth can be better than this. I'm grateful for that experience, as it led me to doula training and connecting with a wonderful group of women in birth education. This experience of women sharing stories, holding space, and supporting each other ignited a deep wisdom that I feel we've forgotten in this modern world.
I feel deeply called to birth work, and it is a privilege to honor and serve women and their families through sacred chapters of their lives, including pregnancy support and postpartum doula services. I have been fortunate to support all different kinds of births, and I feel very strongly that women should be at the center of their birth experience.
A healthy pregnancy journey begins with preconception support and education. In our sessions, we will explore fertility, relaxation, and preparing your mind, body, and soul for pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a sacred time of growth, reflection, and preparation. As a dedicated doula, my aim is for every prenatal session to feel deeply nurturing and supportive, providing essential pregnancy support. My services are completely tailored to each individual, but some of the offerings I provide include: birth education, which covers your care provider options; birth partner education and coaching; body work techniques like rebozo and spinning babies; relaxation guidance; exploring your dreams and fears; assisting in the creation of your birth plan; and supporting your growing body with nutrition and herbs.
When you hire me as your doula for birth, I will be on call starting from 38 weeks of your pregnancy. During your labour, I will provide constant support, which includes: setting up your birth space, ensuring you are fed and hydrated, utilizing natural products like blissful herbs, protecting your environment, advocating for your wishes and birth plan, assisting with positioning, relaxation, and pain management, guiding your birth partner on how to best support you, and capturing photos and videos of your special moments.
Postpartum is an extremely important time for recovery, bonding, and closing the chapter of pregnancy, yet it is often neglected. Many cultures around the world observe 40 days of rest following birth, highlighting the significance of postpartum support. How you are treated and supported during these early days can greatly influence your mothering experience for years to come. As a postpartum doula, I am available for sessions even if I was not your birth doula. Some of what I offer includes: recovery support for your body using herbs and practices, birth debriefing to help you process your birth experience—whether it was magical, traumatic, or a complex mix of both—providing a safe space to share your feelings, a closing the bones ceremony, and comprehensive breastfeeding education and support. I am particularly passionate about assisting with breastfeeding challenges such as pain, supply issues, mastitis, and more.
Sessions last 1 - 2 hours
Sessions last 1-2 hours, and my support continues in between sessions. As your doula, I maintain regular contact with you over the phone to provide ongoing pregnancy support.
This includes being on call for your birth from 38 weeks of pregnancy, and travelling with you from your home to the hospital (if giving birth in a hospital). As your doula, I will support you throughout your entire labour. Please note that if your labour lasts a long time, I will take breaks to eat, sleep, and care for my children before returning—this is something we will co-ordinate together, ensuring you have the necessary support during this time.
